How to know when to backtrack, and why backtracking is essential to writing great fiction. These "character synopses" should tell the story from the point of view of each character.

If you are planning to send your novel around to agents and publishers, you will have to write a synopsis at some point. As I develop the story, I make new versions of my story spreadsheet.
